Unraveling by Elizabeth Norris

Unraveling (Unraveling, #1)Summary: After being brought back to life by a mysterious boy, Janelle Tenner has to keep up with her responsibilities and trying to learn what had actually happened the day she was ran over by a run away truck. Mysterious Ben Michaels allures her into a world, she has never bargained for and learns that in 24 days her world will be destroyed if someone can't stop it. Will she be able to beat the clock? Or will her world not see the light in 25 days?

Review: This dangerously additive book has made me count down the days for the sequel. The hardcore attitude of Janelle makes your heart pound and keeps you on your toes for what she might do next. I couldn't put this book down, and I'm not kidding! I didn't put it down and if someone made me I would scowl at them for the rest of the day. Right from the start it had twists and turns, and throughout. If you like or have ever seen Veronica Mars or Doctor Who, you'd love this book. Unraveling will sweep you off your feet and never put you down.

Born at Midnight (Shadow Falls) by C.C. Hunter

Born at Midnight (Shadow Falls, #1)Summary: One night Kylie Galen finds herself at the wrong party, with the wrong people, and it changes her life forever. Her mother ships her off to Shadow Falls—"a camp for troubled teens", and within hours of arriving, it becomes painfully clear that her fellow campers aren’t just “troubled.” Here at Shadow Falls, vampires, werewolves, shapeshifters, witches and fairies train side by side—learning to harness their powers, control their magic and live in the normal world.

Kylie’s never felt normal, but surely she doesn’t belong here with a bunch of paranormal freaks either. Or does she? They insist Kylie is one of them, and that she was brought here for a reason. As if life wasn’t complicated enough, enter Derek and Lucas. Derek’s a half-fae who’s determined to be her boyfriend, and Lucas is a smokin’ hot werewolf with whom Kylie shares a secret past. Both Derek and Lucas couldn’t be more different, but they both have a powerful hold on her heart.

Even though Kylie feels deeply uncertain about everything, one thing is becoming painfully clear—Shadow Falls is exactly where she belongs…

Review: Danger lurks, the teens have comedic voices, and mysteries that need to be discovered...What could be better? It's a spectacular series that gets better as you go. That is NOT something that usually happens. It is one of the best series I've read in a long time. Shadow Falls will haunt you and encourage you to show the world your talents and abilities. But above all, it will steal your heart.
